Crazy life of the Jill of all trades

Being a Jill of all trades is something I don't suggest for everyone. Some days like the last few days that I have had well things get crazy. I have also tried to stay away from social media as we have all seen it. I am a very sensitive person and can't handle seeing all the mean and hurt. The last few days I have been processing out the deer my bother brought me. I am so thankful that I have a brother that shares but of course is a lot of time breaking it all down. Yes I am cheap I could have taken to the meat market but that would do no good and cost me well over $150 that we don't have right now. The biggest cost I have found over the years is grinding cost. How I have gotten that down is I got a grinder for myself to have here. I don't just use it for deer meat. I have used it when I get large bulk meat and grind hamburger myself. In my area beef chunks run about $2 a pound. This is compared to over $4 a pound for ground hamburger. Freezer bags can also get very expensive so I just get freezer paper and wrap the meat that way. Many meat markets do it that way. Saving money here and there is a good way to help build your family trip or rainy day fund. Why am I telling you this well Wednesday my husband went back to work and the worst things that could happen did. He got hurt pretty bad. Right now we are not for sure if he will have to have surgery. They wanted him to take off of work. That is not a option. He is going to work but it is very light work right now. That may change and could mean a huge drop in funds coming in. I have a test Monday afternoon for a part time post office job and will still bring you great deals. I am working on bringing is all together and getting into a groove with it all. So please bare with me through all the ups and downs.
